January 15, 2015 SHANGHAI – Today, Novelis China won the “2014 Excellent Supplier” award at the FAW-Volkswagen (FAW-VW) Purchasing Working Conference held in Changchun, Jilin province, becoming the only flat-rolled aluminum supplier to receive the award. The company was recognized for its strong local and global support and committed supply for FAW-VW’s fast growing production and its important role in assisting the customer with the development of aluminum parts for Audi cars, in cooperation with Novelis Europe.

After two years of cooperation, Novelis China received the “Good Supplier Nomination” award in 2014 for its high value-added services in supporting FAW-VW’s lightweight car production in China. The “2014 Excellent Supplier” award is another recognition of the solid collaboration between Novelis China and FAW-VW. In a competitive field, Novelis China was the only flat-rolled aluminum supplier among ten companies that received the award, chosen from a field of approximately 400 suppliers.
